I'm Jules — high school student in France, passionate about AI, programming, space, and finance. I build things to learn things, and ship fixes upstream when I find something broken.

Started coding at 11, learning Python and HTML/CSS first. I still have a solid base in both, but most of what I build now is driven by AI coding agents — daily with Claude Code, Mistral Vibe, and OpenCode.

Mistral

In early 2026, I reached out directly to Mistral AI to set up a 2-week internship (stage de seconde) as part of my mandatory high school program — got an introduction through contacts at their Bordeaux office, with the official process run by Akanksha Duggal (TA Operations).

The process:

CV review
A CodeSignal technical assessment — 4 algorithm exercises in Python, 90 minutes — scored 466/600
A final interview with Lelio, Head of Engineering, about my background, projects, and goals

The outcome: I completed the full process, but it couldn't move forward — Mistral requires a minimum 3-month commitment, and my school schedule only allowed for 2 weeks. A timing constraint, not a skills one.

Independently of the application, I kept contributing to mistral-vibe on GitHub — and I'm now competing (solo, for now) at the Mistral Vibe Hackathon in Paris on July 18.
